Legal Framework
Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of AcronIQ platforms and the Private Beta Programme.
Effective date: 22 April 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of AcronIQ Prism and any related services, content, or documentation provided by AcronIQ Limited. More products coming soon.
By accessing or using any AcronIQ platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our platforms.
These Terms constitute a legally binding contract between you and:
- AcronIQ Limited (Company No. SC882057)
- Registered in Scotland, United Kingdom
- 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age to use AcronIQ platforms. By accessing or using our services, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may not use our platforms. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where we have reason to believe the user does not meet this requirement.
2. Private Beta Programme
All AcronIQ platforms are currently operating under a Private Beta Programme. Access is by invitation only, and participation is governed by the following terms:
Invitation-only access
We reserve the right to grant, limit, suspend, or revoke access to any user at any time, for any reason or no reason, without prior notice. There is no guarantee of continued access, feature availability, uptime, or future development.
Beta status and limitations
The platforms are provided “as-is” during the beta period. They may contain bugs, incomplete features, data loss risks, breaking changes, and interruptions. You acknowledge that beta platforms are experimental and should not be relied upon for mission-critical work without independent validation and backup.
No warranties
During the beta period, platforms are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
3. Your Account
To access AcronIQ platforms, you must create an account. You are responsible for the following:
- Accurate information: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You must update your information if it changes.
- Account security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and must not share them with anyone. You are liable for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Unauthorised access: You must notify us immediately at hello@acroniq.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- No account sharing: Accounts are personal and may not be shared, transferred, or sold to another person or entity without our prior written consent.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use AcronIQ platforms only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
Upload data you do not own or have the right to process. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have all necessary licences, consents, and permissions for any data you upload.
Process data in breach of data protection law. You must comply with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and all other applicable privacy and data protection legislation in your jurisdiction.
Reverse engineer AI systems or outputs for commercial purposes. You may not attempt to extract, replicate, or commercialise the underlying AI models, prompts, or analytical methodologies used within the platforms.
Generate harmful, illegal, or deceptive content. You must not use AI features to create content that is defamatory, misleading, fraudulent, obscene, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful.
Circumvent security measures. You must not attempt to bypass authentication, disable security features, exploit vulnerabilities, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or other users' data.
Abuse, harass, or threaten other users or AcronIQ staff. We have zero tolerance for abusive behaviour.
Violation of these acceptable use restrictions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access without notice or refund.
5. Your Data and Intellectual Property
You own your data
You retain full ownership of all data, files, documents, and content you upload to AcronIQ platforms. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data or the analytical outputs generated from it.
Limited licence to process
By uploading data to our platforms, you grant AcronIQ a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process that data solely for the purpose of delivering the services you have requested. This licence terminates when you delete the data or close your account.
AcronIQ owns the platform
AcronIQ owns and retains all intellectual property rights in and to:
- The platforms themselves (AcronIQ Prism and related future products), including all software, code, infrastructure, and design
- AI systems, models, prompts, analytical methodologies, and algorithms
- AcronIQ branding, logos, trademarks, and trade dress
- Documentation, training materials, and support content
Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership or intellectual property rights to you.
6. AI and Intelligence Outputs
Important disclaimer — please read carefully
AI outputs are analytical tools, not advice
Reports, summaries, charts, analyses, and recommendations produced by AcronIQ platforms are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to financial, investment, legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory advice.
You are responsible for verification
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, hallucinations, or outdated information. You are solely responsible for verifying all outputs before relying upon them for any consequential decision. We strongly recommend reviewing all AI outputs with qualified professionals in the relevant domain before taking action.
No liability for decisions based on outputs
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from your reliance on AI outputs, whether the output was accurate or inaccurate. You accept full responsibility for all decisions made using platform-generated intelligence.
Third-party AI providers
As disclosed in our Privacy Policy (Section 4), AcronIQ uses third-party AI providers including OpenRouter Technologies Inc (which routes queries to Meta, Google, Mistral AI, and NVIDIA language models) and, for the Prism video export feature only, OpenAI, LLC. All providers are bound by contract not to use your data for model training, but we cannot control their internal operations. You acknowledge this disclosure and accept the associated risks.
7. Pricing and Payment
Beta pricing (if applicable) will be communicated to you directly. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Any pricing changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
During the beta period, some or all platforms may be provided free of charge. This does not create any entitlement to continued free access after the beta period ends.
8. Limitation of Liability
Critical legal notice
This section limits our liability to you. Please read it carefully.
No liability for indirect losses
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AcronIQ Limited shall not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, or reputational harm, arising from your use of or inability to use our platforms — regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Aggregate liability cap
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of AcronIQ platforms shall not exceed the greater of:
- The total amount you paid to AcronIQ in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim; or
- £100 (one hundred pounds sterling)
Exceptions to limitation
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access
We may suspend or terminate your access to any or all AcronIQ platforms at any time, with or without notice, if:
- You breach any provision of these Terms
- We are required to do so by law or court order
- We decide to discontinue a platform or the beta programme
- Your use poses a security, legal, or reputational risk to AcronIQ or other users
You may close your account
You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@acroniq.co.uk.
Effect of termination
Upon termination for any reason, your right to access and use AcronIQ platforms ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply after termination.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as our platforms evolve or as legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated whenever changes are made.
Where changes are material — meaning they significantly affect your rights or obligations — we will notify you by email (if you have an account) at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Beta participants will always receive direct notification of material changes.
Your continued use of AcronIQ platforms after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using our platforms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
